Daisy Monyenye Oremo is a dynamic and results-driven urban expert, specializing in sustainable urban planning, environmental management, and the transformation of slum areas into vibrant, resilient communities. With a proven track record in integrating sustainability and climate resilience into complex urban environments, Daisy’s expertise spans across diverse sectors including environmental impact assessments, risk management, and policy development for sustainable cities.

Armed with a Master of Science in Environmental Management from PAULESI, University of Ibadan (UI Nigeria), and a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT Kenya), Daisy has held pivotal roles at the National Environmental Management Authority (NEMA) in Kenya, Thika Greens Golf City in Kenya, and the prestigious Frank Gödeke Landscape Architect Office in Germany. She has been at the forefront of designing and implementing projects that harmonize environmental stewardship with urban growth. Her expertise spans climate change mitigation, slum upgrading, urban renewal, and integrating sustainable practices into large-scale urban projects. Her strategic insights and innovative approaches have made significant contributions to urban renewal projects, enhancing environmental sustainability and quality of life in urban spaces.

As a part-time lecturer at Kenyatta University and Kirinyaga University, Daisy is committed to mentoring the next generation of architects and construction managers, sharing her extensive knowledge and passion for creating sustainable urban futures. An advocate for sustainable development, Daisy is driven by a vision to create cities that are not only eco-friendly but also inclusive and livable for all.

Beyond her professional endeavours, Daisy is an avid biker, nature enthusiast, and a creative artist personality, drawing inspiration from the natural world to inform her work in shaping healthier, green cities, and more sustainable, and resilient urban environments.
