Inviolater is an experienced and passionate scientist with over 10 years of advanced knowledge and in-depth understanding of biodiversity conservation, sustainable land management & Agro-ecology principles, climate change adaptation/mitigation/resilience, environmental conservation and food security. She brings forth extensive experience in governance & sustainability over-arching themes. She holds a Master of Science degree in Disaster Management and Sustainable Land Management from Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (Kenya) and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Nairobi (Kenya). She is currently pursuing her PhD in Soil Science at the University of Nairobi. Through her PhD research, she aims at establishing processes through which biochar applications in low phosphorus soils would improve maize yields by smallholder farmers in semi-arid and highland areas in Kenya by utilizing plant – soil – microbe interactions & pathways. Professionally, Inviolater has worked with distinguished local, regional and International research organizations such as Kenya Agricultural & Livestock Research Organization, Töpfer Müller Gaßner (TMG) Research gGmbH amongst others.
Through her research work, Inviolater has published various peer-reviewed articles and book chapters on array of topics including food & agricultural systems, conservation and environmental management, amongst others and she has received several commendations.
Additionally, Inviolater is a Science Associate at the Society for Protection of Underground Networks (SPUN) and a winner of the 2024 Underground Explorers Programme grant (UEP grant). She also won a Global Research Alliance (GRA) & Mitigate +, CLIFF- GRADS scholarship. She is also a member of renowned associations such as African Research and Impact Network (ARIN), African Network of Soil Ecology (ANSE), International Association of Landscape Ecology (IALE) and African Group of Negotiators Experts (Climate change Mitigation, Adaptation and Nature based Solutions Expert).
